Wedding in Collingwood | Hannah + Liam
Hannah and Liam had a beautiful backyard wedding in Collingwood, Ontario. Like with many couple’s wedding plans this year, Hannah and Liam’s plans changed a couple of times (more like five times). However, it all turnout out for the best. Their wedding in Collingwood was so beautiful. Many of their friends and family helped arrange and set up everything. It was great to see everyone come together and set up everything for their backyard wedding.
From the beginning, Hannah and Liam talked about the importance of their experience on their wedding day. They wanted to celebrate with the people closest to them. But they still wanted the day to reflect on them and their relationship. They took the time when creating their timeline to create time for all the photos, ceremony and reception, but they also had time set aside for them. They had time to spend with each other for wedding portraits and time for themselves if they needed a break. I love it when couples schedule in time for themselves because your wedding day is about celebrating you as a couple.
When their wedding plans changed to Collingwood, we talked about the importance of having landscapes in their wedding photos. From the water, mountains and beautiful greenery, there were so many options for wedding portraits.
We photographed all the family, wedding party and wedding portraits before the ceremony. I spent so much time laughing during photos. Wedding portraits felt like an adventure with friends, and the time flew by. The backyard ceremony was in the early evening, which made the light nice and soft. They had their adorable dog Peaches be a part of the ceremony. A friend of theirs helped to officiate the wedding, and they ended the ceremony with a hand tieing tradition. They thought of so many unique details that were special to their story and included them throughout their wedding day.
Their wedding in Collingwood was such a special celebration. I am so honoured that I got to photograph it.
