A Beautiful Backyard Wedding in Cambridge, Ontario | Jessica + Jacob
Jessica and Jacob planned a beautiful backyard wedding in Cambridge surrounded by their family. Although their wedding plans had to change a bit to fit within the government regulations, they got to keep their wedding date. The backyard was beautifully landscaped and decorated for their wedding. The family came together to get everything ready for their wedding.
Jessica and Jacob had a first look right before their ceremony. After a couple of photos, they were able to enjoy a couple of minutes alone before starting their walking down the aisle. They got married under a wooden archway in the middle of the backyard under a tree. It was a beautiful set up that allowed everyone to focus on Jessica and Jacob and not worry about the sun. Their ceremony was filled with smiles, laughter and whispered romantic moments. You could feel the excitement rolling off them as they walked down the aisle officially married.
Family photos were full of laughter and everyone joking around. Soon enough, the cocktail hour started while we snuck away for wedding portraits. I love getting to photograph couples right after their ceremony. The newlyweds are so happy and caught up in the realization that they are officially married. Jessica and Jacob were no different, the soft smiles, the laughter and holding each other a little closer. They only had eyes for each other, and that is what I love photographing.
We didn’t leave the property for wedding portraits. You couldn’t tell because there were so many different landscaped areas to photograph them. Typically at the beginning of the wedding portraits, I try to hide the newlyweds away from the guests. This gives them a little bit of time to soak in the fact that they are married. Also, if they aren’t a huge fan of PDA, hiding them away from guests allows me to get all the kissing photographs and still make the newlyweds comfortable.
Jessica and Jacob were so easy to photograph so, it didn’t take long for them to be back with their family celebrating their backyard wedding in Cambridge.
