niagara WEDDING &
elopement
PHOTOGRAPHER
I’m Chantal
I am inspired by stories, quiet moments, light & shadows and exploring new places.
I attended the Aegean Center for the fine arts for silver and digital photography. Located on Paros, Greece we spent a month in Italy travelling to learn about art history.
My approach to small weddings and elopements came from my time in Greece. This is where I fell in love with storytelling, using light and shadows within a photo. I learned that landscapes can be used to help tell a story and that photographing people is capturing their emotions, their movement and their essence.

why work with me?
Authentic Moments
I photograph your day as it happens. I am all about those natural candid moments.
I will give you directions and prompts as needed. My focus is on telling your story including the details and landscapes.
light
Light is the basis of my photography. It influences how I photograph a scene, the composition, the mood, and the editing of the images. I photograph in all types of light; bright, harsh, low-light, astrophotography, and artificial light.
creative approach
The photos in your gallery should be a reflection of you, your personality, and your relationship. I want to turn your special moments into art for you to enjoy for the rest of your life.
B&W film + Polaroids
There is something beautiful about seeing moments captured using B&W film and Polaroids. There is a timeless quality to them that draws people to them. You can add B&W film and polaroids to any package/session.

frequently asked questions
how far in advance should we book you for our wedding?
Couples typically book me 6-10 months out as an average. I’ve had couples book me as early as 18 months out or as late as 2 weeks before their wedding.
how long does it take to receive our photos?
All digital photos are edited and uploaded to an online gallery within 90 days from the wedding and 45 days from a session.
Can we see full wedding galleries instead of blog posts?
Yes! I have permission from previous clients to show full galleries as examples of my work. I send them in the initial email,
what is the booking process? How does payment work?
I require a signed contract (by each person getting married) and a 30% (of package price) non-refundable retainer to save the date. This means you are officially booked and your wedding day is put into my calendar. The balance is due 30 days before the wedding day. You can split it up into smaller payments if that works best for you.
What happens if the weather is bad on our wedding day?
Unless the weather is dangerous for us or my camera gear we can still amazing photos with dark clouds and changing weather. We can find overhangs, use umbrellas or embrace a light rain. We can also plan to do indoor photos as well. We can’t control the weather and I don’t expect you to pick a magically beautiful day as your wedding day, I am comfortable photographing in all types of weather and working with all types of lighting situations.
Do you photoshop us?
No. I do not photoshop bodies to make them appear different from how they look in real life. I am all about self-love and photographing real moments both involve you exactly how you are.
If you have a pimple or something temporary like a bruise or a rash, I don’t mind getting rid of it because it is only temporarily part of you.

why i am a wedding photographer in niagara on
I have lived the majority of my life in the Niagara Region, mostly St. Catharines, Ontario. I remember hiking in the Niagara Glen, Balls Falls, Short Hills and Decew Falls.
The Niagara Region has so many beautiful areas including all the vineyards, trails, the small town shops and the influx of local businesses.
I love to spend my free days finding secret beaches, new trails and trying out new cafes and wineries all around Niagara.
